• The PSAT isn’t just a practice test for the SAT—it’s also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Students in 10th and 11th grade are encouraged to take it, but only your 11th grade score counts toward National Merit recognition. The test is offered each year in October, and high scores can open the door to prestigious scholarships and recognition that strengthen your college applications.
